MAKE LIFE WORTH LIVING: NICK HEDGES' PHOTOGRAPHS FOR SHELTER 1968-72

The Science Museum (London) has just opened a new exhibition showing a collection of powerful and moving images by documentary photographer Nick Hedges, commissioned in 1968 by the housing and homelessness charity Shelter. The images, depicting the harsh conditions of housing in 1960s Britain, are being shown for the first time following a 40-year restriction in place to protect the anonymity of the subjects. Incredibly powerful and absolutely free to attend.

Confirmation by Chris Thorpe, BAC, 1st-26th October

Definitely one of the best shows to come out of Edinburgh this year, Chris Thorpe's incredible monologue is currently at Battersea Arts Centre until 26th October. Exploring the nature of confirmation bias, the piece presents his attempt to create an honourable, meaningful dialogue with political extremism. A must see.
