This is Good: a place to share things we think are good this week.

Who Do We Think We Are?, Sonja Linden and the company, Southwark Playhouse, 29th Oct - 15th Nov

What makes you the person you are today? Your genes? Your experiences? The experiences of your parents and grandparents?

Set between 1914 and 2014, follow an international group of artists as they weave stories from their lives and the lives of their families into one another to create a rich historical tapestry. The cast, made up entirely of actors over 60, features Togo Igawa, the first Japanese member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, and features Leo's mum Adah Kay as Executive Director.

We Are Here is a new video piece from Gillian Wearing. Presented as a series of monologues by people supposedly returned from the grave, the concept for We Are Here is taken from American poet Edgar Lee Masters’ 1915 book Spoon River Anthology.

Young Rebels - The Story of the Southall Youth Movement

We thought this was a moving and thoughtful documentary which shows how it's possible, through collective action, to create change in your community. Made by a group of young filmmakers in Southall, the film documents the history of their community from the 1960s to the 1980s, with a particular interest in the murder of Gurdeep Chaggar in 1976, the 1979 anti-fascist demonstrations, the death of Blair Peach and the 1981 burning of the Hambrough Tavern.
