Jo Fong, Witness - Portraits of Women Who Dance, 14th June, The Place

Witness is a three-screen cinematic dance event. The panoramic view allows both the ordinary and extraordinary to become iconic; the performers saturate the space with their presence and voices, whilst an intimacy remains. Three exceptional dancers will be working with UB collaborator Jo Fong in the making of their own choreographic portraits.

Mark De Clive Lowe, The Funk, Soul and Rare Groove Review: Future Soul Special, 20th June, Bussey Building London

As part of the South London Soul Train Festival, South London Soul Train host Jazzheadchronic returns with a Future Soul version of The Funk, Soul & Rare Groove Review; another dancefloor-busting, bi-monthly DJ session. This time the Jazzhead and new resident DJ Marcia Carr will be joined by special guest DJs The Loud Minority, as well as the 'man of a million and one dope ass beats'; dancefloor maestro Mark De Clive Lowe.

Algiers, Parallel Lines, 17th June, Corsica Studios

The excellent Algiers will be playing at Corsica Studio on Wednesday Night in support of Hockey Smith; an experimental duo from Cornwall. The band will be joined by UB's own Kunal on percussion for their first ever UK show. Come down early to make sure you get in.
